Dazzling dumplings

Crispy bacon or pork mince is mixed with colourful julienned vegetables and tender baby mushrooms, then wrapped in dumpling skins (available at your local Asian store or homemade) for a delightful bite. The filling is seasoned with soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, and a sprinkle of spring onion, salt, and pepper. The dumplings can be steamed for a soft, delicate finish or fried for a crispy golden crunch. Once cooked, they’re drizzled with a vibrant chilli oil dressing made with chilli oil, soy sauce, sesame oil, citrus juice, and sesame seeds for a punchy, aromatic finish.
Tip: Brush a little sesame oil on the dumplings before steaming or pan-frying to give them a golden, glossy finish and extra aroma.
